Pirates

The new Pirates of the Caribbean movie was very average. I don't know if it is because I have grown up, or if it was just actually not that good. It just didn't have the magic the old ones had. I don't know if that was the mostly new cast or if it had to do with something else. It was very predictable. Johnny Depp put on a good as ever performance, but the rest of the characters seemed to be lacking motive. Penelope Cruz, while be extremely attractive and sexy, still hasn't fucking learned goddam English yet. Her fucking accent drives me insane. Actually it's not her accent in particular, its all famous Hollywood stars who are insanely fucking rich and can't afford how to learn how to fluently speak English for their roles. to quote Samuel Jackson from Pulp Fiction, " ENGLISH MOTHER FUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT?"That shit pisses me off. Hugh Jackman can do it. I've seen him. He is an amazing Broadway trained actor and it shows in the quality of his acting. At every award show I've ever seen him at he speaks and sounds like the full blooded Aussie he is, but you would never be able to tell from watching his acting in movies. I respect you Hugh Jackman. Not that you give a shit to be validated by an anonymous blogger sitting in his living room on his laptop, but in case you do, I respect you. Playing Wolverine definitely helps.

It's the end of the world - REM

This is the new song i’m going to learn for the rapture tomorrow. I don’t know how many people heard about this but apparently in California some guy who I think is a preacher predicted the end of world tomorrow, May 21st, a day after my birthday. He put a billboard up that says the world will end on 5/21/11 and I’ve seen some news stories about it on TV. Personally, I think it’s a load of crap, but it sure is fun to talk/joke about. Everyone go looting afterwards for that new stereo!

New Blog

Just signed up for Google's blog service. I already have a Tumblr and I like it a lot. Its way better than Facebook or Twitter social media wise. Definitely more my style. I don't like the intrusiveness of Facebook. It's great for connecting with people, but it kills all social skills. Ten years ago everyone still called people on the phone and email was just taking off and I think the world was better this way. Constantly being overstimulated will eventually wear one out mentally, spiritually, and physically. Growing up in this transitional phase from ten years ago to now has me stuck in the middle between grouchy old timer who's against technology, and hip new youngster who loves being over-stimulated (insert sexual innuendo joke here) and I'm only 20! lol

Bout to go get some Chinese food with my best friend Daniel. I have been craving some since getting back from college. There was a great Chinese restaurant right across from my dorm and I am going into withdraws.
